The Michigan Girls Basketball Report (MGBR) is Michigan's premiere scouting and event service for girl’s college exposure in the state of Michigan. MGBR offers players several college exposure events and an opportunity for additional exposure through the MGBR scouting service.

HISTORY
The Michigan Girls Basketball Report (MGBR) was formed in the fall of 2007. MGBR was formed in order to help aid in the college recruiting process for girls basketball players of all levels. This is accomplished through the statewide scouting service and college exposure events.
2009 History
In the spring of 2009, MGBR hosted the US & Canada Border Challenge at Eastern Michigan University and surrounding venues. The event sold out at 80 teams and over 60 college coaches were in attendance throughout the weekend. For the second year the Michigan Top 100 Individual Showcase boasted 240 participants and attracted college coaches from all levels.
In May, MGBR co-hosted the Memorial Day Challenge with USJN and Blue Star. The first year event hosted over 50 teams and attracted numerous D2, D3, NAIA and junior college coaches during a non-certified period for D1 college coaches.
In the summer of 2008, MGBR again held the Michigan Roundball Classic for the 5th year. The event gave teams from Canada, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio the chance for a pre-July tune-up. The evnet also attracted over 20 D2, D3, NAIA and Junior College coaches.
Early in July, MGBR hosted the Michigan Top 100 College Exposure Camp at Western Michigan University. The camp attracted over 50 college coaches and boasted some of the Midwest's top players.
In late July MGBR hosted the Great Lakes College Exposure Classic at Morey Courts in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Over 80 college coaches were in attendance throughout the weekend while the event attracted top teams and players from the Midwest.
As the summer evaluation period ended, The Michigan vs. Ohio Border Battle was held on July 31, 2009 at Bowling green State University. In just the events 2nd year, 157 college coaches were present and filled the gym. A strong turnout of D1 coaches but also D2, D3 and junior college coaches were present.
In the fall of 2009, MGBR finished out the year with the Michigan 320 Super Showcase at Morey Courts. The event attracted over 65 college coaches and 320 girls basketball players who competed in the event. The event featured players of all levels and from all over Michigan and also gave a glimpse at the top upcoming talent in the state.
2008 History
In the spring of 2008, MGBR hosted the Great Lakes College Exposure Classic at Eastern Michigan University and surrounding venues. The event sold out at 64 teams and over 40 college coaches were in attendance throughout the weekend. During that same weekend MGBR hosted the Michigan Top 100 Individual Showcase and Top 25 Junior College Showcase. The Michigan Top 100 Individual Showcase was the first event ever held in Michigan denoting the Top 100 phrase. The event sold out with 240 participants. The Top 25 Junior College Showcase had 40 of Michigan's best Junior College players. Immediately following the weekend, both unsigned seniors and unsigned junior college players were made offers from several colleges.
In the summer of 2008, MGBR headed to Western Michigan University to host the Michigan Top 100 College Exposure Camp. The camp was designed to offer competitive play, lecture, discussion sessions and basketball skill sessions to help prepare players for the next level and the recruiting process. The camp had over 40 college coaches in attendance. The event also showcased 5 of the nation’s top 300 prospects.
In late July MGBR hosted the Great Lakes Summer Showcase at Eastern Michigan University. Many of the same teams from the Midwest that attended previous MGBR exposure events again attended this tournament. Over 30 college coaches were in attendance throughout the weekend.
As the summer evaluation period ended, MGBR saved the best for last. The Michigan vs. Ohio Border Battle was held on July 31, 2008 in Toledo, Ohio. The event had well over 100 college coaches in attendance and featured the best 160 players from Michigan and Ohio. In the fall of 2007 the Michigan vs. Ohio Border Battle was just an idea that MGBR founder, Amanda Rainsberger was entertaining. "Overall this was my favorite MGBR event of the year. In the fall of 2008, MGBR capped out the year with the Michigan Top 100 Workouts & Showcase at Central Michigan University. The event attracted slightly over forty college coaches and 220 girls basketball players who competed in the event. The event featured players of all levels and from all over Michigan.
