THE GREAT LAKES SUMMER SHOWCASE is presented by the "Michigan Girls Basketball Report" (MGBR) and the Michigan Lady Ballers. The event will take place at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti-Lincoln High School and the Michigan Sports Academy - from Friday July 25, 2008 through Sunday July 27, 2008. The Great Lakes Summer Showcase brings together many of the best travel teams from Michigan and several teams from Ohio, Indiana and Canada during the "live" recruiting period. The 2008 event includes six divisions – Open Division, 16 open, 15 open, 14 open, 13 open, and a Varsity High School Division for teams playing over the summer. The event begins on Friday evening and concludes on Sunday. A limited number of teams will be accepted into each division.

$99.00 (single, double) or $109 (triple, quad)
*Includes full breakfast buffet each morning.
*All Head Coaches (if identified at time of reservation) will be upgraded to the best available room at the group rate.
GLSS FACTS:
All teams must arrive Friday, July 25th, for mandatory coaches check-in and the NCAA Educational Session for all players and coaching staff members. Sessions will run every 30 minutes starting at 4:00 PM and go until 9:30 PM. Players will receive their event tee-shirt at the meeting.
There will be several makeup sessions for any "individual" players who do not attend the event on Friday. Players must attend a makeup session prior to being allowed to play on Saturday. Sessions are at 8:30 AM 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. There are no sessions for teams on Saturday, you must attend the NCAA Educational session as a team on Friday.
GLSS MANDATORY NCAA EDUCATIONAL SESSION & COACHES CERTIFICATION CHECK-IN
Friday, July 25th: All coaches must check-in prior to their first game to receive their coaching credential. NO COACH WILL BE PERMITTED TO COACH WITHOUT A CREDENTIAL AND THEIR NCAA CERTIFICATION. Your name must appear on the Lexis Nexis database on July 25th to receive a coaching credential.

Registration is open and will continue until the event is filled. A limited number of teams will be accepted into each division. To register for the 2008 Great Lakes Summer Showcase please follow the steps below. For all NCAA Certified Events, coaches must also complete Steps 3 and 4.
